• Irlam are in an enviable position, as they have past experience of developing PCI expansion cards.
• The company had a Phoebe prototype on their stand, case open, demonstrating a PCI video capture card. The card was originally designed for a security firm, and was shown grabbing frames from a video-conferencing camera.
• They are also involved in helping Acorn test and improve the PCI interface.
• Irlam plan to produce a range of PCI cards, including SCSI, Ethernet and Firewire (IEEE-1394) interfaces.
