I'm pleased to say that the Acorn Emulation Message Board has taken off very well, with many postings from various people. I'm grateful to all of you who read and contribute to the board, and I'm hopeful that the success of this board will continue.

The first release of a port of Marat Fayzullin's ColecoVision Emulator has been done by David Mcewen.

I am happy to announce that David Mcewen who has just ported Marat Fayzullin's ColecoVision emulator is now moving on to develop and port Marat's MSX emulator to the Acorn. The emulator is not quite ready yet, and needs some more development on the graphics display code, but should be ready for release in the next few weeks.

Whilst searching around the FTP archives for the new coleco emulator, I came across an emulator of the Hewlett Packard 11 programmable calculator (HP11). More details of this emulator can be found on the new HP11 page.

Joe Kelleher is in the process of writing a Spectrum 128 emulator. I have already received a development version, but there are several bugs still to be fixed before the initial release. See the new Spectrum 128 page for more details.

I also came across a rather perculiar program called Apple (archive appleii.spk) on the Argonet FTP, it appears to be written in C, and when I run it, merely generates an error. Perhaps it is RISC PC only? If someone would like to take a look and shed some light on the matter, I'd be very grateful.

Also on the Argonet FTP I found a patch for the original non-desktop GBem by the Purple Monichi, before Paul Clifford converted it to run in the desktop. The patch allows the original to run on a StrongARM, at a reasonable speed.

Thanks to Michael Koenig, who provided me with a lot of information and screenshots to enable me to do the page about the Executor Apple Mac emulator running on a PC card. Michael also provided information about several other foreign emulators working under the PC card.

Version 0.01 of the assembler for my Babe emulator, of the Manchester Mark 1, is now complete and uploaded, the emulator is also complete, but needs some tidying up before release (I'll be working on it later today). Any interested people can email me for a pre-release version.

I've added some screenshots from the new Sega Master System emulator to the SMS/GG page. Finally got round to fixing the outdated link to marat's SMS page. I've added Mark Borcherd's (author of 6502Em and Z80em) and the authors of the Coleco and Spectrum 128 email addresses to the email address book. The foreign emulator page has been updated with more reviews for the PC card, of CPE, VICE, Callus, BeebInC, Magic Engine, Genecyst, KGen, SNES9X, Rage, NESticle, SNEmul, ZSNES and SNEeSe. Also for the software PC Emulator, MADM and BeebInC are reviewed. I've added a new speed rating call StrongARMo, for overclocked SAs, several emulators have now been tested at this speed.

I'm hunting for a new background for the Acorn Emulation Page, as I think this one makes it look a little old and mouldy. You can send me any submissions you may have, but I'm looking for something in a fairly light colour, that this black text will look ok with.
