Oric

The Oric-1 computer was first announce back in 1982 in order to compete with the Sinclair Spectrum, by trying to provide a better system on the cheap. It never really did as well as the Spectrum, but is still much loved by many (depraved) past owners today. It appears from much of the software in the archives, that the Oric was much developed in France, and for that reason, some of the software is french in content. eg. the 007 screenshot on this page.

ARMOric

ArmOric is written by Bent Gort Valerius and Thomas Dan Olsson. Apparently this emulator can run on all Acorn machines, though it is too fast to run on a StrongArm, perhaps the ARM club's GameOn software could help.

The original version (v1.2) needed some code assembling, and the user to make some choices from a BASIC program. To enable non-programmers to use this program easily, I have pre-assembled the files needed for it to run straight away. I have also left the original link in here to download the old version.

This is not a particularly interesting emulator, so far as the software that it is capable of running, but it still runs many classic games. Oric lovers, come and get it!
