Acorn World '97

• The original plans for a Risc OS portable have been delayed, due to a change in the requirements of the US sponsor. The development of the portable continues, however.
• Acorn are investigating the SA-1100 integrated processor. This includes video drivers for a STN LCD, a lower cost display which is of reasonable quality
• The combination of integrated processor and STN display should result in a competitive price for the final product.
• The SA-1100 has sufficient processing power to run a soft-modem. Is this significant?
