Charity money goes to a range of good causes. For example, the money raised at Acorn World was half for the Norwich Children's Fund (a charity giving medical help to children in and around Norfolk), and half to ARMS (Action for Research into Multiple Sclerosis).
All of the money given for charity items purchased goes straight to charity. NCS does not draw any part of it for administration, not even for the cost of p&p.;
Since 1989, NCS has raised over £60,000 for charity through the Archive magazine and its subscribers. Most of that money was raised through the Careware PD scheme which is now run for NCS by APDL.
If you have any odd items lying around that might be of more use to someone else, you can either send the item(s) direct to NCS or, if the item is large or heavy, contact us and we can make special arrangements. Please clearly mark the packaging so we know the intended purpose of the parcel.
