Parallel Port MIDI Interface

The ESP Parallel Port MIDI Interface is for the Acorn RiscOS range of computers.

It is designed to provide a more versatile alternative to the internal expansion card interfaces. By using the parallel port it provides the opportunity to add MIDI capability to any Acorn RiscOS machine including those with no expansion card facilities such as the A4 portable.

It is particularly useful when you want to use a MIDI keyboard with a computer other than one that has an internal MIDI interface installed. With the Parallel Port MIDI Interface you can easily move the MIDI capability from one computer to another rather than have to move a whole computer or have to install an internal MIDI interface in each machine.

The ESP Parallel Port MIDI Interface provides a MIDI In, MIDI Out and MIDI Thru connection. It also contains buffering of incoming data to ensure that there is no data loss. It is fully compatible with ESP MIDI Support and is therefore suitable for use with the RiscPC PC Card.

It contains a number of user selectable functions such as the filtering of system real-time messages and support for MIDI Time Code.
