With the uncertain future of Acorn desktop computers, Archive has decided to provide support for those now looking to the PC market. This area of the site aims to provide information and advice for users unfamiliar with PC hardware and software. Taking an Acorn-biased view, we will guide you through the larger and more unforgiving world of Microsoft and Intel. As with all things Archive, this is an open forum. If you already have experience of PC manufacturers or dealers, we would be glad to hear from you. Everything from advice to articles will be welcome. If there is something we have not covered, suggest it; if you can, write about it! Even if we are forced to buy PCs, let us preserve the best element of the old Acorn market - community. The PC Support area is in its infancy, and will no doubt evolve. If you want to influence its direction, contact us - a quick email is all it takes. I have started with a few items that I hope will be of interest. I am open to suggestions of where to go from here. |
