I looking for a RiscPC 700 or better for software development. I will pay sensible amount of money. Somewhere near(ish) york so I can collect it.
David replied: Given the price of Risc PCs in general, it's worth keeping an eye on eBay or calling APDL / CJE for a quote.

Hi,

two things:

1) I've got about 20 years worth of Acorn user magazine, going back to the mid eighties. I'm trying to find a good home for them (private or institution) otherwise they're getting ebay'd

2) I've got a broken A5000 (doesn't boot). I've taken the IDE drive out of it, and taken a bit copy using a DOS utility. I need to retrieve the files from the image, but Red Squirrel reports 'Disk error 8 at 00000C00' (there were a couple of bad sectors on the disk). Can anyone suggest anything to get the files back?

TIA.

David replied: May be worth putting postings onto the c.s.a.groups as well as The Cybervillage.
