    The RISC OS platform relies on 3rd party companys developing Printer Drivers for the many, many different Printers there are on sale.

    If you are looking for a Driver then hopefully the list of companies here will help you find one for your particular Printer.

    A useful nugget of information is that sometimes you find that whilst your Printer may be, for example, an Epson Stylus 440 but you've only found a driver called the Stylus 400 Then give this driver a go as it probably will work. In otherwords don't be put off by a small number difference.

       RISC OS Offical Printers & Drivers. This site contains the latest version of !Printers (the main RISC OS Printer program) and it contains lots and lots of Printer drivers.
       RISC OS 4 Printer drivers. This is the offical site of the latest !Printer program and its drivers for RISC OS 4.
       !Printers+.!Printers+ is an enhanced frontend for RISC OS. Highly recommended.
       Gimp-Print Printer drivers. High quality printing for RISC OS. Hundreds of printers supported. If you want photographic quality printing look here. List of printers supported here.
       Photoreal Printer Drivers Photodesk sell these drivers (mainly Epson and Canon Inkjets) and claim these drivers offer the best possible picture quality for photorealistic printing.
       ExpLAN Printer Drivers ExpLAN sell drivers (Canon Inkjets and Kyocera Laser) and offer extra software to allow you to control the Printers cleaning functions.
       R-Comp Printer Drivers R-Comp make drivers for Networked Printers. That is Printers which are connected to your computer via a network cable so that several people can share the one Printer.
    Basically with this driver you need a Printer which is on a network and it is communicating via the 'lpr' or HP JetDirect' print protocol.
    If your Printer doesn't have a network ability, you can add one, they're quite cheap, by buying a little box called a 'Print Server Box'.
    Ask R-Comp if you're not sure, they're very user friendly!
       Jonathan Briggs Printer Drivers Jonathan has produced drivers, which provide full colour support up to and including 600dpi for the following Hewlett Packard models:
    DeskJet 990, 995, 1220, 3820, 5550 and the 6122 amongst other.
       Turbo Drivers Reference only. These drivers were designed to be extra fast in printing and are now a little old. No idea if they work on RISC OS 4.

    RISC OS has available a wide selection of programs that allow you to produce high quality and professional printing. Here are a few such popular programs listed.

       !Printers V1.53 A previous version of !Printers (including all drivers).
       !Printers V1.64a A version of !Printers (including all drivers).
       !Printers V1.67 Latest version of !Printers (including drivers).
       !Printers V1.91a Latest version of !Printers+ (including minor gimp-print patch).
       RiScript This commercial program is designed to make high quality Postscript or 'Acrobat 'PDF' files for professional printing.
       ArcFax This commercial program is for the production of Faxes. If you can print it, you can fax it too.
       Ultilabel This commercial program is for the printing of small labels.
       SPrinter This free program allows you to print, not to paper but to a graphic image instead. This can be handy if you want to view the output before you print.
       DJCtrl This free program allows you to control the cleaning functions of a HP DeskJet Printer.
       JetDirectFS This free program allows you to print to a networked HP Printer.
       PEM This free and very handy program allows you to print text files very easily to Printers that don't normally allow such printing (ie Photo Printers). V0.99 works with Gimp-Print.
       Epson ESC-P This free program allows those of us with an Epson Printer to access the cleaning and ink level aspects of the printer.
